A week ago, I remembered that I was out of Ziploc bags and was just coming back from the grocery store. Didn’t want to make another trip, so I tried the Amazon brand resealable bags. I was familiar with AmazonBasics, but the bags were from Solimo, also owned by Amazon which is relatively new. I’ve been insisting on Ziploc brand bags for many years ever since I got frustrated with another company’s bags in the past.
The Solimo bags ($0.02/count) are slightly cheaper than Ziploc ($0.03/count), when I compare the prices on Amazon. Since Ziplocs are more widely available, you could get them for lower prices if you shop at super stores or Costco.
Anyway, I bought 2 varieties: sandwich bags and freezer quart bags.
I use the sandwich bags for packing light snacks for work and freezer bags for freezing smaller servings of meat.
These feel very similar to the Ziploc bags and close securely.
Both sandwich and quart freezer bags feature double-zipper closures for securer fit and airtight storage.
The cardboard boxes have easy-tear indentation so you can easily take out a bag without pulling the whole pile.
Even the colors of the zippers are almost identical to Ziploc bags.
The sandwich bags are thinner than the freezer bags, just like the Ziploc sandwich bags.
The freezer bags have label sections printed for dates and contents to keep all frozen items fresh and in check.
I wouldn’t specifically shop on Amazon for Solimo bags (I can always pick up a box of Ziploc bags when I’m out shopping), but they are going to be my choice of resealable bags when I’m ordering from Amazon.
