I was so hesitant to pay so much for an essentially oversized blanket. There are many soft blankets out there that are a fraction of the cost. But my sister spoke so highly of Barefoot Dreams, so when Nordstrom was having an Anniversary Sale (the annual Nordstrom sale event with deep discounts in July-August), I went ahead and bought one. '

And I’m seriously wondering why I’ve waited this long to get the coziest blanket EVER.

I initially bought 2 blankets from Barefoot Dreams – the Cozychic throw blanket ($147) and Cozychic Heathered ($165). They’re both in the same Cozychic collection, but I find the Heathered version to be thicker and softer. I’d suggest the Heathered blanket for the softness, and I think the extra $18 is worth it. Either way, it is not a cheap blanket so you better love what you buy, right?

Anyway, it’s very large – large enough to be used in bedrooms. On a couch, I can share the blanket with another person without fighting for it. If you have kids, I highly suggest the oversized blanket over multiple, smaller kid blankets. It cuts down the price.

It wraps around my body like a huge hug, and it instantly elevates my couch-cuddling experience. It’s perfect on chilly nights when I’m unwinding and watching Netflix.
If I were to be asked to pick one living room item, it will be this blanket. So worth it. I’ll be buying another next year.
