Bobbi Brown Buffing Grains for Face

I take weekly skin exfoliation very seriously because I believe it helps with natural skin cell turnover. As I remove dead cells, I get a more radiant complexion and feel like potent facial serums absorb better.

Bobbi Brown’s Buffing Grains is the only exfoliator I need, and I’ve tried multiple over the years. As the name suggests, the glass bottle is filled with tiny grain beads.

I love this. It smells like fresh grains and conditions my skin like no other exfoliators do. The grains can feel too coarse and harsh sometimes, so I mix a small amount with a moisturizing gel cleanser to concoct my own exfoliating gel. I mix the Buffing Grains with Fresh’s Soy Cleanser, and the combination is simply impeccable.

It thoroughly removes any dead skin cells but is gentle on my skin. And of course, when my complexion looks extremely dull, I just use the grains on my wet face.

The small opening allows me to dispense just the right amount of grains I need.

Still, I think the container can be improved to prevent air and moisture from going in. One drop of water really messes up the grains. They stick together and later harden, making it impossible for me to get them out.

The glass bottle is so chic sitting on a bathroom sink, but it’s not ideal for in-shower use for obvious reasons. And the black plastic cap is neither the sturdiest nor airtight, so I suggest against using it during the shower.

Other than the container’s minor inconvenience, it is a tremendous, multi-tasking exfoliator. I’ve been using it at least once a week on my face and neck for the past 4 months, and I still have so much left.
