Working out is good for you. It lowers your blood pressure, increases productivity, and makes you healthier, in general. However, it is not always an enjoyable activity. Sometimes you feel lazy, and you need to focus and push yourself. Earbuds shouldn’t slow you down. I’ve tried many wireless earphones, and I can confidently say Bose Soundsport is an ideal candidate if you’re thinking of getting a pair.

Based on my experience, Apple AirPods and Bose Soundsport are the top two earbuds that are best suited for workouts. They are all comfortable and give you a distraction-free experience. I’m not a fan of Dr. Dre's earbuds because one of them always fell off. So annoying. I didn’t have any issues with both the AirPods and Soundsport.

Compared to the AirPods, the Soundsport is bulkier and protrudes more visibly. The AirPods are so compact and sleek. So design-wise, I want to go with the AirPods. Although the Soundsport is a wireless earbud, the buds are connected. The AirPods are, in that sense, complete wireless earbuds. It comes down to a personal preference whether you want completely wireless earbuds or ones that are connected. I like the Soundsport because it’s easier to hang it on a treadmill handlebar whereas, with the AirPods, I’ll be needing a pocket.

The Soundsport far exceeds the sound quality of the AirPods.

The sound is much richer and more stable than that of the AirPods. Considering they are both priced in $150 range, I prefer the Soundsport. And they stay in. The earbuds’ unique tip creates a seal in your ear, ensuring a comfortable and tight fit that stays in. I didn’t have to adjust the earbuds during workouts, and that is a huge convenience factor.

The wireless connection is quick and stable. During a 5-mile outdoor run, I didn’t have any issues with the Bluetooth connectivity. And the volume controller on the right makes adjusting volume super easy. And the battery life (6 hours per full charge) was plenty enough for most activities.

The packaging screams adventure and an active lifestyle.

The earbuds come with the standard USB charging cable, earbud carrying case, and 3 sizes of StayHear+ Sport tips.

Another feature I was so excited to learn was the Soundsport’s sweat-and weather-resistant design.

If you’re a passionate runner like me, the outdoor weather shouldn’t deter your workout. Although I wouldn’t submerge the earbuds in water, they do a decent job of blocking sweat and water.
