Brightech Eclipse LED Floor Lamp

I love everything about the high ceiling in my house – rooms appear larger, airier, and cool. I fell in love with the house when I first saw it. BUT, what I didn’t consider was the brightness of the rooms even with overhead and recessed lighting. As the ceiling gets higher, the overhead lighting gets farther away from us and loses lumens.

I work from home, and the dim overhead light fixture has been straining my eyes, especially when I needed to work at night. So, I started looking for a (bright) floor lamp.

I initially considered a floor lamp with drum shade but decided against it because the shade would diffuse the light too much. Great for living rooms and bedrooms, but I felt like it wouldn’t be too functional in my home office.

I found the Eclipse LED Floor Lamp by Brightech on Amazon, and with stellar reviews, I decided to give it a try. The reviewers were raving about how bright the lamp was, which was exactly what I needed.

And I loved the design of the lamp – futuristic, minimal, and clean design would be the perfect addition to my home office.

I bought 2 silver lamps to fill in the corners of the room, and they are awesome.

Like the reviewers said, the lamps are bright.

The lamp consists of 2 LED circular rings, and according to the manufacturer, the lamp has a maximum brightness of 2000 lumens.

The 2 floor lamps, along with an overhead light fixture and a table lamp provide ample brightness.

More interestingly, two LED rings can be positioned in different ways to create a more visually intriguing look. The lamp doesn’t tilt even when the rings are positioned perpendicularly.

The lamp has 3 dimmer settings – max, medium and min.

I keep both lamps at maximum brightness when I work at night, and set them at min when I’m just lounging. They’re great mood lamps for that reason!

I really liked that these lamps are at 3000K color temperature, not 5000K or 6000K like many LED bulbs come at. The color is a crisp warm color that is ideal for most residential or office settings. I prefer 3000K or 4000K over 2700K bulbs because I find the 2700K bulbs too yellow, and these lamps have the perfect color temperature! Very comfortable.

The installation was ridiculously easy. And the skinny pole on the base stands straight without being wobbly or being a tipping hazard. The pole is really skinny – about as thin as a finger.

It’s been a few weeks, and I am loving these lamps! My productivity has increased because my eyes aren’t strained, and the interesting design of the lamp is a great conversation starter.

The lamp looks a lot more expensive than $90 and is helping with my eyesight.

Now I really get to enjoy the high ceiling!
