The new sheet and pillowcases that I bought last week are finally here!
Lately, Brooklinen is my go-to website to buy bedding. The New York-based company has reasonable prices for quality sheets, pillowcases, and duvet covers.

They come well-packaged in a box, and the bedding is neatly folded in a reusable canvas bag. I love these thoughtful details.
The canvas bag is not at all tacky, and I can see quite many uses for it – mainly for groceries.

I already own a few Brooklinen sheets in different colors, and this time, I decided to go with patterend sheets. The Navy Matchstick Luxe fitted sheet was what caught my eye, and the fun matchstick patterned sheets were on sale, too!

This matchstick print is so whimsical and fun. The white background gives a calm, crisp feeling and goes well with my other bedding.

Currently, Brooklinen offers 4 types of sheets – Classic Percale, Luxe Sateen, Linen and Twill.

I own the Luxe Sateen and Classic Percale sheets, and I prefer the Luxe. Although I cannot say for certain because I don’t own them, I believe Linen is ideal for summer months and Twill is for winter. I really like the Luxe sheets because they are so smooth and soft. The Classic is crisper, like a newly-made hotel bed. The Luxe is noticeably softer and “hugs” my body better if that makes any sense.

Anyway, I was super glad to find that the Navy Matchstick comes in a Luxe sheet. And I always buy a single fitted sheet, not the full set. Brooklinen allows you to either buy a fitted sheet or the whole set, depending on how you like your bed made.
I also bought the matching pillowcases – thank god they weren’t sold out!

Brooklinen sends the quarterly newsletter in the shipment so you can learn about some useful bed-making tips, laundry or newly-released patterns.

The labels are inside the sheet and pillowcase, and they get tucked away nicely. The label also includes washing instructions.

The fitted sheet’s elastic is flexible but holds the mattress firmly. The extra-deep pockets accommodate mattresses up to 15” deep. Nothing is more frustrating than having to pull the slightly short sheet to get that last corner of the mattress, and you don’t have to worry about that with the Brooklinen sheets.

I can’t wait to jump into my bed tonight. Amazingly soft and comfortable.
