I have been using Cascade dishwasher detergents for as long as I can remember. And over the years, I’ve tried most of Cascade’s detergent varieties ranging from powder to action pacs – individually portion-controlled detergent packets that don’t leave any mess like powder or liquid detergents do. My husband sometimes digressed and bought other brands’ detergents mostly because they were on promotion, but I always insisted on going back to Cascade because no other detergent cleaned my dishes as thoroughly and effectively as Cascade Platinum.

I’ve tried various eco-friendly and natural dishwasher pods, hoping that they would be as effective as the Cascade Platinum. Unfortunately, they all fell short of my expectations, and I had to rewash or rinse most of my dishes until I was finally done with the packet my husband had bought.
Cascade’s dishwasher pods come in 3 different varieties, Original, Complete and Platinum, in the order of effectiveness.

You’ll notice immediate improvements when you switch to the Platinum, and it is the toughest dishwasher detergent I’ve used.

No matter how dirty the dishes, pans, or pots are, they all come out clean whenever I run the cycle with the Cascade Platinum.

Phosphate-free formula
The Platinum detergent is available in 2 scents, but I don’t have a preference because the scent doesn’t linger. Unlike surface or floor cleaners, you don’t want your dishes to smell! And you certainly don’t want to taste the citrusy detergent.

I love these pods because they are so convenient. I can simply toss one in a dishwasher slot, and the dishwasher is good to go. Some complain about having to dry their hands before handling these pods, but honestly, that goes for powder detergents as well. And they tend to leave a powdery mess behind. I usually run the dishwasher after all my kitchen chores are done, so by then, my hands are all clean and dried.
