If your dining table is round, you get limited placemat options. I don’t know about you, but rectangular or square placemats just didn’t seem right to me. And so many placemats that I liked were only available in rectangular shapes.
Most of Chilewich’s placemats are offered in both rectangular and round (some square and oval) shapes, so the consumers can enjoy the Chilewich textiles, regardless of their table shapes.
This is one of the reasons why I own so many Chilewich placemats, lol.
This time, I purchased a few Round Basketweave Placemats, and they look great on my round table.
The tightly woven fabric looks beautiful on wood tables without looking rustic or outdated. They are casual and modern placemats that are great for everyday dining and entertaining.
These placemats are so easy to clean. After each meal, I quickly wipe the placemats with damp towels (baby wipes work too). Every now and then, I wipe them with antibacterial wipes to “deep clean” them. Much easier than laundering fabric placemats and ironing them every time it gets stained.
The mats are 15” in diameter.
They’re pricey for placemats but so worth it.
