I went out to Crate and Barrel and bought the Lindstrom Duvet Cover in white last week. My friend was visiting, and it was time for a new duvet cover for the guest bedroom. I only buy cotton bedding because of its durability, ease of care, and breathability.
I fell in love with this cover’s organic, uneven texture, and I couldn’t be happier with my recent purchase. I bought the white cover, and it is true, crisp white without any hint of yellow undertones.
The full/queen-sized cover is generous in size and covers the sides of my queen mattress as well. There are some duvet covers that look puny and ridiculous because they barely cover the top of the mattress, and I was glad that the Lindstrom wasn’t one of them.
The cover has 4 fabric corner ties to secure the duvet insert and a hidden zipper closure. There is another layer of fabric on top of the zipper to hide it.
I washed the cover, and it came out great. The care instruction advises not to dry it in a dryer, and I can see why. I doubt that drying the cover in a dryer will damage it, but it takes forever to dry it completely because it gets bunched up and becomes a thick, cotton chunk hitting the dryer. I will be line-drying it to avoid excessive wrinkling as well.
My friend who stayed over told me how soft and comfortable the cover was. The cover is both beautiful and comfortable. What more can I ask for? I plan to get another for myself!
