If you want to keep your drawer smelling fresh and clean, look no further. The Scented Oval is much more effective and longer-lasting than fabric softeners or scent boosters. I try to stay away from fabric softeners as they wear out the fabric quicker; however, I do want my freshly-laundered clothes to smell nice when I grab them out of the drawer. So I went ahead and splurged on the Scented Oval from Diptyque.
I got it in Baies, a clean blackberry scent that has a cult-like following, and 34 Boulevard Saint Germain. The hardened wax is poured onto a porcelain medallion, and the wax emits an aroma.
Oh, and DO NOT PUT this in your car. It will melt unless it’s winter.
The wax doesn't melt at room temperature, though, so you won't have to worry about it soiling your closet or drawer.
I initially put the Scented Oval in my walk-in closet that’s fairly large. Unfortunately, the scent was way too faint for me to notice, and I felt like I was wasting it. Then I put it in my drawer, and the scent feels much stronger and more saturated.
I love how it fills my drawer with its signature blackberry fragrance and keeps my clothes smelling fresh. It is honestly much better and natural-smelling (though pricier) than any other fabric softener I’ve used before.
The 34 Boulevard Saint Germain scent is more sophisticated and richer than Baies, which is on the fruitier and lighter end. I believe the 34 Boulevard Saint Germain is a great gender-neutral scent.
