I love everything about Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Soap; however, its original formula seemed to be a bit too harsh for my skin, regardless of the scent I choose. Peppermint was one of the strongest, and I couldn’t use it as a body wash because it would sting so much. I used the remaining Pure Castile Soaps for house cleaning and hand soaps. Regardless, I really liked the way it cleansed my body and the ingredients it was made of, so I gave the Baby Unscented Pure Castile Soap a try. It was supposed to be the gentlest formula without sacrificing the cleansing ability. Thank god I gave it a try because it doesn’t sting at all!

What I love the most about Dr. Bronner’s soaps is that they don’t have any moisturizing agent added. I like soaps that “cleanse” thoroughly than coat my skin with moisturizing agents. I follow with a moisturizer anyway, so “moisturizing soaps” don’t have much appeal. And the Pure-Castile Soap does exactly that. It gets any grime, dirt, or even food grease off my hands (or body) and leaves them feeling clean.

The Baby Unscented soap cleanses and feels exactly the same as the scented varieties; however, it contains double the olive oil to minimize irritation. It feels so gentle and delicate on the skin. Even with the olive oil, the soap doesn’t feel greasy or “moisturizing”.

I’ll be buying regular, scented Pure-Castile Soaps for various house cleaning tasks; however, I’ll be sticking with the Baby Unscented for showering.
