It’s October, leaves are turning yellow and in my house, that means pumpkin, pumpkin, and everything pumpkin! I’ve been thinking about getting a pretty pie dish for a while now, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get one before the holidays and winter.

I’m a huge French cookware fan and avidly collect Le Creuset and Emile Henry. And I’m so excited to finally get a new pie dish. I have quite a few bread pans, but oddly no round pie dish! I stopped by Williams-Sonoma, and the Artisan Deep Ruffled Pie Dish completely mesmerized me.
The SA informed me that it comes in 6 colors (I saw them online, and the colors are mostly subdued, fall colors – so pretty!), but my heart was set on the Nougat, a rustic white color that was going to be the perfect addition to my farmhouse kitchen.

It is simply gorgeous. The ruffled, scalloped rim raises the dish higher, therefore, making it ideal for deeper-dish pies or ornate decorations.

I believe these dishes are Williams-Sonoma exclusive. The Emile Henry pie dishes are made from Burgundian clay, accentuating the benefits of stoneware.

The dish is so pretty that I actually will be using it as it is on the tabletop.

The pie dish is also easy to care for since it is microwavable, oven, freezer, broiler, and dishwasher safe. I can never remember specific care instructions unless they are wood or cast iron, so I usually look for something that is durable, and the stoneware dish is just perfect.

I’m looking forward to many, many homemade pies this year with the new pie dish!
