I picked up a box of Flamingo’s razor kit while I was shopping at Target, and I’m pleasantly surprised with the design and quality of it. I’ve been a longtime user of Venus razors (ever since I was a teenager!), and the only reason I bought this razor was that my local Target was out of them. I was drawn to its chic color and sleek design. To all non-Flamingo razors out there, isn’t it time to offer razors that aren’t pink?
The kit includes 1 razor handle, 2 five-blade cartridges, and 1 shower holder. I got the razor handle in Taro & Rose Gold color – très chic!
Inside the box, all the contents are securely packaged inside the plastic insert from scratching each other. I love the way the handle grips. The slightly rubbery handle is non-slip even when wet.
The most important thing about razors is, of course, how sharp and precise the blades are. Cute designs and colors are pointless if they are not going to perform as intended. Fortunately, the blades gave me a precise shave and felt smooth and soft. Not bad, Flamingo! I’d say it’s comparable to Venus 5-blade cartridges.
The shower holder looks almost invisible against the shower door, and it has great suction. Some razor holders lose their suction shortly after, causing my dog to chew on the razor handle where it’s soft and rubbery. But so far, the Flamingo shower holder has been staying put.
I will be venturing into more Flamingo products in the future, but the razors are great.
