I don’t know just how many boxes of these my dog has gone through! I’ve been feeding my dog Greenies for years, and I’ll never be without them.

As many of you know, dogs need to clean their teeth to prevent tartar and plaque buildup. The older dogs get without proper oral care, the more deteriorated their teeth condition gets. And foul breath follows, naturally. Instead of manually brushing my dog’s teeth, I’ve been giving one large Greenie a day, per my vet’s recommendation.

It seems like a lot of money, especially as an ongoing purchase, and it is. The value pack contains 24 large treats, and it only lasts me a little over 3 weeks. However, many argue such expense is a part of responsible pet ownership and should be considered as insurance to avoid a huge vet bill down the road. And I agree – if you want to get your dog’s teeth properly cleaned, the vet will have to put your dog under so he or she doesn’t resist. That’s major, especially for older dogs.

I hoard boxes of Greenies whenever pet stores go on sale, usually during Black Friday or Amazon Prime Day events.

My dog LOVES these daily treats and won’t go to bed unless I give her one. She’d gently tab me with her paw until I give her one. I’m so glad my dog finds these oral treats irresistible because I honestly don’t know how I’m going to clean her teeth if it weren’t for Greenies.
