Every dog has the instinct to burrow, and having his/her sanctuary is necessary for keeping stress levels down and helping with anxiety issues when you’re away.

I came across this cute pet teepee at Petco, and I thought, “this is exactly what my dog needs”! Along with her 2 beds, 1 crate, and my bed, of course.

It seemed easy to put together, and I liked the solid grey fabric that was neutral enough to go with most house decorating styles but also dark enough to hide any stains or dirt. If you’ve seen my dog play outside in the backyard, you’ll be reaching for the darker color fabric as well!

The assembly is required, but it is so easy to put together. The instructions are easy to follow (hard to miss, actually), and within minutes I was able to build a teepee for my baby dog.

All the necessary parts are included in the fabric bag. You get 8 wooden dowels and 4 plastic connectors. Using those, you build 4 wooden support poles. All you then have to do is insert the poles into the sleeves of the teepee, and voila! You’ve got yourself a teepee. When you need to put the teepee away, you simply need to disassemble it and place them back into the bag for easy storage.

My Staffordshire Bull Terrier weighs 30 lbs, and I got a small teepee.
The dimensions are 32 w x 31 d x 40 h.

I added a plush dog bed underneath the teepee, and it’s her little sanctuary. She eats her bi-weekly rawhide (her absolutely favorite treat) inside this teepee. And that’s saying something!
