I came across this toothpaste while I was staying over at my mother-in-law’s place. She always stocks her guest bedroom with cool hospitality products to make us feel welcome and at home. I got to use this whitening toothpaste from Himalaya during my stay, and it has quickly become my favorite.

I immediately had to get them in bulk because I knew I was going to love it. My mother-in-law also uses this toothpaste, and she has told me that it was the only toothpaste she and her husband used.

I like the Simply Mint flavor the best. It’s a refreshing mint flavor, but it still doesn’t sting my mouth or feel overpowering like some strong minted oral products. It refreshes my breath for a while as well, which is an important consideration factor for me. I’m a teacher, so I talk a lot which frequently leads to a dry mouth.

The Whitening Complete Care Toothpaste keeps my breath fresh without drying my mouth. I cannot recommend this enough just for that.

It’s slightly more expensive than regular toothpaste you can find at drugstores or big box stores like Colgate or Crest. But I’m liking the ingredients a lot better, and for that, I’m willing to pay extra. The toothpaste is fluoride-free, Carrageenan free, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) free and gluten-free. I definitely don’t like toothpaste with fluoride, so it’s the perfect formula. Before switching to this toothpaste, I was using Tom’s Fluoride-Free Toothpaste. Although Tom’s is great, I prefer Himalaya’s formula. It foams better as opposed to Tom’s which just becomes liquid drops.

Although this toothpaste does not contain SLS, a common agent found in household items or personal care products, it makes a wonderful foam. Awesome.

In terms of whitening ability, I honestly can’t tell the difference. I don’t expect much whitening effects from toothpaste, so I might be a little insensitive.
