I’m obsessed with Frosted Flakes. They are my favorite cereal of all time, and they beat Cap’n Crunch and Cinnamon Toast Crunch, which are my second and third favorite cereals.
There must be something in that bag (wink wink, sugar) that makes me crave more. Over the years, Frosted Flakes have come up with new flavors – Cinnamon, Chocolate, and Honey Nut, and I tried them all. Cinnamon and Chocolate Frosted Flakes were a letdown; however, the Honey Nut is simply delicious.

The Honey Nut variety doesn’t interfere with the taste of the original Frosted Flakes, and the honey flavor mixes well with the sweetness of Frosted Flakes and milk. I thought the Chocolate and Cinnamon Frosted Flakes didn’t mix well with milk, so I tasted chocolate, cinnamon, Frosted Flakes, and milk. No harmony, just a ‘mixture’ of different flavors. But, the Honey Nut is so tasty.
The Honey Nut Frosted Flakes is the newest variety, and I’d say Kellogg’s nailed it.

As soon as I opened the box, I smell the familiar sugary Frosted Flakes and subtle honey. I was worried that it would be overly sweet – adding honey to already-sweet Frosted Flakes? -, but Kellogg must have reduced the sweetness because it wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet.

Since they’re not the healthiest thing in the world, I don’t eat them for breakfast. Cereals have become afternoon snacks for me, rather than meal replacements, especially breakfast. It’s better to eat a protein-rich breakfast than a carb. It’s nice as a snack.
