My Japanese friend adds this mayo to various dishes he cooks and insists on using it over that of other brands.

Kewpie is Japan’s oldest mayonnaise manufacturer, like Hellmann’s here in the United States.

He orders them in bulk through Amazon, and he gave me a bottle to me to try.

Yummy!

I really like the container bottle.

Its compact size fits nicely on the door compartment of my small dorm room fridge.

The tube is easily squeezable that will come handy when you need to squeeze out the last few drops.

And it has a 2-way chef cap – simply put, 2 openings for dispensing.

The fine-point opening is great for drizzling on top of sushi or hot dogs.

The star-shaped opening is ideal for decorating or spreading. I find it easier to spread on sandwich bread because it’s thicker.

In terms of the taste, yes, it is just mayo – made with eggs.

Compared to other mayonnaise I’ve tasted; the Kewpie mayo has the creamiest taste.

Like a mixture of mayonnaise and cream.

Not the healthiest thing in the world, but I like it – it’s great with avocados, sushi, and sandwiches.
