I was searching for a modern table lamp that is small and unique. There were so many options, but I eventually went with the Mr. N Accent LED Table Lamp from Koncept. Considering how expensive modern lamps get, its price was reasonable at $125. It had the perfect size. And the upside-down U shape was interesting.

I couldn’t find any offline retailer, so I didn’t see the lamp in person until the package arrived. The box was shrink-wrapped and arrived in a good condition.

The lamp was designed in California and assembled in China (just like Apple).
The lamp comes in 2 finishes – Metallic Black and Silver. The difference between the 2 finishes is the color difference you see on the side control panels and the inside (below the opaque white shade where the light gets diffused). I went with Silver.

There is no installation required, which is always a plus. I connected the lamp cable with the transformer, and the lamp was ready for use.

The “Koncept” panel located at the bottom of the lamp dictates the control. I squeeze the logo at the bottom and the lamp lights on/off. Holding onto the logo adjusts brightness.

One thing I noticed was a small buzzing noise when the lamp was on dimmer. When the lamp is completely on (max brightness) or off, I didn’t hear the noise. But every time I adjusted the brightness, the lamp makes a nagging noise. Good thing is that it’s unnoticeable unless it’s right next to a bed. Because I intended to keep this lamp in a side table, that doesn’t bother me. Besides, I rarely use a dimmer, so that wasn’t a deal breaker for me. But if you intend to use it as a bedside lamp and utilize the dimmer feature, you might want to consider seeing the lamp in person first.

Like most modern lamps, the Mr. N lamp has built-in LED bulbs. It uses 5 Watts (250 lumens), a decent brightness for an additional light source.

I like the simplicity of the lamp. It also provides bright light considering its small size. It blends well with other things and doesn’t take up much space.
