Ever since I discovered La Colombe, I’ve been telling everyone I know about this incredible coffee. And they are now hooked, too.
I rarely buy canned coffee because I think they’re overpriced and have an inferior taste. For example, if you’re buying a Starbucks canned coffee, it doesn’t taste as authentic and fresh as the one you get from a Starbucks café, even if both use the same beans. On the other hand, La Colombe lattes, are seriously good and retain the foamy milk froth as if they were freshly prepared minutes ago.

I usually get my La Colombe coffee from Whole Foods. Ever since Amazon took over Whole Foods, the prices have become more affordable and the selections have noticeably increased. Anyway, my go-to La Colombe is Triple Draft Latte since it contains more caffeine than regular Draft Latte, which is simply delicious. The Triple Draft Latte contains 3 shots of espresso, mixed in with creamy frothed milk for the ultimate latte experience. Once you’ve tasted La Colombe, there’s no going back to cheap-o Dunkin Donuts or even Blue Bottle.

This is seriously the smoothest-tasting coffee, and I can’t stop sipping on it.
How are they making it at La Colombe?

My second favorite is Mocha Draft Latte. If you love mocha drinks, this is so for you. It has a strong dark chocolate flavor that is craftly blended with La Colombe Draft Latte – cold-pressed espresso and frothed milk.

La Colombe is known for its signature “lip guard”. Unlike most canned drinks, all La Colombe coffees come with an additional top cap known as the lip guard. La Colombe started adding lip guards on their cans, so the aluminum cans’ metallic taste wouldn’t interfere with milk. And supposedly, they’re supposed to aid with the full frothiness of Draft Lattes.

When you pour a can of La Colombe into a cup, you can visibly see the frothed-milk layer. You can’t see that in most canned coffees! The frothed milk results in an ultimately smooth flavor that is unparalleled.

The Draft Lattes have an impressive milk foam that makes the latte extra smooth and tasty. As you can see, again, there is a layer of frothed milk when I pour it into a glass. I don’t have a milk frother, so my homemade latte was made with regular milk (either heated or chilled). Drinking a can of Draft Latte has become my daily routine ever since I discovered La Colombe.

Made with real coffee beans and milk, you can taste the difference from the cheaper coffee drinks. I wish there were a La Colombe café near me. The canned coffees would do for now. And if you’re a coffee enthusiast, it is a must-try coffee.
