I personally consider myself a chocolate connoisseur, I’m a huge fan of Lake Champlain Chocolates. Lake Champlain’s chocolate bars always top my list, and I have not yet met a person who didn’t like their chocolates! I was always getting Lake Champlain milk chocolate bars, and I discovered these Five Star Bars at Whole Foods.

I can’t just pass on the chocolate aisle and always spend a good amount of time browsing anything new.

The Five Star Chocolate Bars are offered in 4 flavors, Peanut, Fruit & Nut, Hazelnut and Caramel.

As a huge chocolate addict, I had to try all of them, and I must say my personal favorite is Hazelnut. I don’t know whether it’s a coincidence or not, but the box of Hazelnut chocolate was running low compared to other flavors.

Every flavor except for Fruit & Nut has a milk chocolate base, so if you prefer the bittersweet dark chocolate, I suggest Fruit & Nut.

These bars are SO SMOOTH and heavenly delicious.

And the flavor descriptions are right on. Hazelnut Five Star Bar is made with milk chocolate and contains crunchy praline & roasted hazelnuts.

The only downside to these Five Star Bars was that they are a little difficult to eat. Essentially, they are just singular blocks of chocolate and don’t have any indents for my teeth to bite down.

They remind me of chocolate-coated ice cream sandwiches or wafers.

And each bar is pretty thick too.

I ended up cutting them into pieces with a knife. But that shouldn’t distract you from enjoying these amazing chocolates.
