I’ve been avoiding sunscreens for way too long time, mainly because I wasn’t a fan of the stickiness many sunscreens have that coats my skin. Still, in the back of my mind, I knew that I needed to start applying sunscreens, so I was excited to give Lancome’s Aquagel UV Expert a try.

Lancome’s brand-new sunscreen, Aquagel UV Expert is supposed to be airy and lightweight as if you’re wearing a gel moisturizer. I’m a big fan of Clinique’s Moisture Surge Moisturizer, so I was hoping that the Aquagel would apply like that.

I was a bit worried when I discovered that the Aquagel looked like rich cream; however, I realized that I was worrying about nothing when I applied it. It goes on smoothly and doesn’t leave any sticky mess that I dread. For an SPF 50 sunscreen, it is as light as it can be.

I’ve worn this sunscreen for the past few days, and my face managed to stay dry. Considering how most sunscreen makes my skin extremely oily after a few hours, the Aquagel is doing an awesome job at keeping oiliness at bay.

The sunscreen is invisible and isn’t tinted. I actually don’t like tinted sunscreens because the colors are often way off and orange, so this is good news.

I wish the sunscreen is available in larger sizes because 1 fl oz is so not enough. Regular foundations come in 1 fl oz bottles! And you’re supposed to reapply sunscreen every few hours (Lancome recommends every 2 hours), so I really hope Lancome offers larger sizes in the future. Other than the size, though, the Aquagel may be the sunscreen I was looking for.
