I received my first Le Creuset Cast Iron Pot from my mother in law 6 years ago. I was instantly mesmerized by its gorgeous pastel color and the shiny, glimmering finish. I made so many successful dishes with it; in fact, it’s the most used pot in my kitchen. Naturally, the collection grew, and I own multiple sizes now.

First, will you look at the colors? The pots come in so many pretty and unique colors that I can’t even list them all. I wish I can have every single color for every occasion. They also make a great serving piece for the stove to table.

Another good thing about Le Creuset pots is that they’re compatible with induction cooktops. I’m currently in the process of building a house, and the new kitchen will have an induction cooktop. The compatibility with the Le Creuset pots was the first thing I asked because I did not want to get a whole new set of cookware. Yup, they are compatible!

I hand wash all my Le Creusets because I’m worried that my dishwasher would dull the finish. But I’ve heard from many people that they withstand just fine in the dishwasher. Because the pots are enamel-coated, there is no need for regular seasoning. Many cast iron cookware requires oil seasoning to make it nonstick; however, I didn’t have to do that with my Le Creuset. With a little bit of oil, none of the ingredients stuck.

Le Creuset Cast Iron pots are built to last and give consistent results. They are heavier than cookware made of other materials and can be more expensive. However, their superior ability to retain heat gradually and evenly makes every dish taste better. And with proper care, you’ll enjoy them for many years to come. Because they last so long, the Le Creuset cast iron pot makes a great wedding gift. I got mine as a wedding present, and I won’t use anything else.
