L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

I must’ve used dozens of this hand cream over the years. It is seriously moisturizing and has a magical ability to revive dry and cracked hands. I don’t know why, but my hands are like the Sahara Desert. They are dry even on hot, humid days, which drives me nuts. I would drive back home to grab my L’Occitane hand cream if I forgot it – yes, that’s how much I depend on this hand cream.

L’Occitane has other scented hand creams, but I only use the Shea Butter Hand Cream. I love the subtly powdery/soapy scent, and it is the only cream that manages to keep my hands from drying out.

Whenever L’Occitane goes on sale, I buy them in bulk (both the larger 5.2oz tube and the 1oz travel size) so I don’t run out for months. I particularly love the 1oz travel-size tubes because they are easy to carry in a purse to and from work. The standard 5.2oz tube is honestly a bit cumbersome to carry unless you intend to leave it in a car.

The cream contains shea butter for moisturizing properties, and you might notice how thick the cream is at first. Don’t be alarmed. Despite the rich texture, it goes on smoothly and gets absorbed, leaving a minimal oily residue. I do appreciate the thickness and richness of the cream since most hand lotions and creams are too light for me.

I dare say it is the most popular hand cream in the world. This does a far superior job than Cetaphil, Aveeno, or Nivea. Although more expensive, it’s so worth it.
