This thing may smell pungent and strong, but you’ll be amazed at how soft your hair gets after one use. I’ve stopped using other hair treatments (and some are much more expensive) because they can’t compete with H’suan Wen Hua.

I’ve been shopping at Lush for their bath bombs and other bath products.
I did not think to try their hair products; however, the sales associates were unanimously praising H’suan Wen Hua, so I decided to give it a try. And Lush has gained a customer for life.

H’suan Wen Hua is “a nutritious mask to improve the strength, shine and condition of your hair and scalp”.

Applying this intensely moisturizing hair treatment is different than other hair treatments.

You apply to dry hair before shampooing, and leaving it on for 20 minutes does all wonders.

This rich treatment is concocted with protein-rich eggs, shine-enhancing balsamic vinegar, moisturizing bananas, and avocados to improve unruly and damaged hair.

The treatment fortifies strands, moisturizes hair from roots to ends, and gives a noticeable shine – basically what every hair needs.

It was a little weird applying it directly on dry hair, and I questioned its effectiveness of it. I slathered on a generous amount, wrapped my hair with a plastic wrap, and waited patiently for 30 minutes (recommended time is 20, but I threw in additional 10 minutes). I stepped into the shower and I could not believe how soft my hair got. As soon as I wet my hair to shampoo, my hair was already soft and manageable.

Lush does not test on animals, and H’suan Wen Hua is made of natural ingredients and safe synthetics. Because of that, most Lush products have short expiration dates, and my H’suan Wen Hua jar is only good until 4/23. So just make sure not to buy them in bulk, unless you’re Rapunzel.

After the treatment, my hair brush glides through the hair and nothing gets pulled. My hair is shiny, soft and most importantly looks healthy. It seems to help with statics, I find.

It does have a rather pungent smell that you can’t fail to notice. And what’s worse, it lingers until the next wash. It has an acute vinegary smell or rotten eggs (I can see how disgusting that just sounded!), but I’m so willing to overlook that in exchange for heavenly smooth hair.

It has changed my life for the better, and I can’t imagine my hair care routine without this.
