My Rottweiler absolutely loves rope toys, and the play can get aggressive. He has no intention to bite me, but I was worried that he’d get carried away when pulling the rope too enthusiastically. The regular-length rope toys didn’t give me enough distance between my dog’s teeth and my hand, so I looked for longer ropes. I found this whopping 72-inch-long rope toy, and I recommend it to anyone who’s going through a similar predicament.

The label features a Rottie, of course!

This extra-large rope is much thicker and more durable than other regular rope toys that I’ve seen. My boy can shred the rope within minutes, but this one has been holding up its shape. I know better not to “trust” my dog and give it to him unsupervised; however, it’s a very durable toy.

It’s a bit cumbersome to toss as it’s bulky and heavy, so if your dog is into fetching more than pulling, you might be better with other types of toys. My Rottie LOVES pulling, so we’re having so much fun with this rope.

I get to play with my dog without having to worry about any kind of accident. He can pull as hard as he wants, and I still have a good distance from his mouth. It’s a great interactive toy.
