If you like lemon drops, these lemon-flavored hard candies will not disappoint you.
I bought a bag of these hard candies while I was grocery shopping, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they are flavorful and tasty.
What makes these candies different from other drops is the powder center. Each candy houses tart powder in the center. As you suck on them, the outer shells of the candies dissolve and the inner sweet/sour powder gets slowly released. It makes the flavor so much better than other lemon drops.
Just the right balance of sourness and tart. Every time I pop a candy in my mouth, I feel like it’s Springtime or early Summer.
They don’t melt easily, which is important if you live in Texas like me. So many things have melted in the past inside my car – lip balms, gummy bears, chocolate (the messiest) and jolly ranchers (you’ll have to throw them out because removing the wrapper gets impossible). I still wouldn’t leave them inside my baking car all day long, but they won’t melt on you in between short errands.
