This dog shampoo is awesome.
I love everything about this shampoo – the scent, lather, and the way my dog’s skin reacts to it.
It is scented in heavenly lavender that brings joy every time I bathe my dog. Many dog shampoos are scented in coconut, oatmeal or some kind of sweet “cupcake-like” fragrances that I’m not a fan of. Don’t get me wrong, I love those scents during the wash, but they turn into a musky, not-so-pleasant smell within a day or two. It was refreshing to find this shampoo that’s scented in lavender – so calming! And it doesn’t react weirdly with my dog’s natural oil and doesn’t into musky smell.
The shampoo contains natural lavender oil to soothe and relax stressed skin.
And it doesn’t contain alcohol or peroxide, so I can safely use it on my furry baby.
It lathers generously, and I don’t need to use a ton to give my dog a good scrub. Unlike watery shampoos that don’t lather well, it’s a better value because I don’t waste as much. The shampoo has a slightly thick formula that clings onto my dog’s skin, so nothing drips down – no waste!
The cap makes dispensing the shampoo easier, and it’s wide enough so the opening doesn’t get clogged.
My dog has a very sensitive skin, and when something doesn’t agree with him whether that’s food, shampoo or treats, he scratches non-stop. This doesn’t seem to irritate him and his coat is shiny and soft.
Natural Chemistry recommends following with the conditioner to achieve softer, shinier and tangle free coats. Bathing is already a traumatic experience for my dog (he screams, whimpers and whines), so I skip the conditioner. But, even without the help of the conditioner, his skin is shiny and manageable.
