I like trying out new Nespresso capsules whenever they come out. Although they are usually more expensive than the regular capsules, some are really good and I like to change things up every now and then (probably Nespresso’s marketing strategy, but oh well).

In early January, Nespresso introduced 2 new flavors – Venezia and Istanbul. They are available in both Original and Vertuo capsules. I went into a boutique and tasted them, and I preferred the Venezia.

The prices for the limited-edition Coffee Houses capsules are:

I really like the “Coffee” size Vertuo capsules (230ml/7.77fl oz). I get a nice, hot cup of coffee in the morning, and each capsule contains a decent amount of caffeine to get my morning going.

The Venezia combines beans from the Ethiopian region of Harrar and Indian Arabica, and it is such a treat to smell the fresh cup of coffee in the morning. You can read about the taste description here on the box.

Nespresso capsules’ intensity ranges from 1 to 11, where the 11 being the darkest. The Venezia has an intensity of 7, and I do not detect any noticeable acidity.

Like all Nespresso capsules, a sleeve (box) includes 10 individual capsules.
