I always hated taking vitamins. I have trouble swallowing ginormous pills down my throat, and omega-3 pills are the hardest to swallow. They are the largest among my array of vitamins and have the nastiest fishy smell. My fear of omega-3 vitamins has gotten a lot better ever since I switched to Nordic Naturals’ Ultimate Omega.

If you go to the vitamin department in any grocery store, you’ll find yourself being bombarded with endless choices of vitamins. Take Omega-3, for instance, there are first a handful of brands to choose from, and each brand has many varieties with different omega-3 contents. And some come with vitamin D3 added, to further complicate the selection. From my experience, omega-3s with lower contents are not really worth it. I always buy ones with at least 1000mg of omega-3 even if that costs extra. And I don’t bother with vitamin D3 because I already take daily multivitamins that contain a sufficient amount.

I really like the Ultimate Omega because the pills don’t smell fishy. I’ve never tasted what’s inside each pill, so I can’t comment on the “great lemon taste”; however, the pills have a pleasant lemon scent. If you get put off by the typical omega-3 scent, then you’ll be much happier with Nordic Naturals’.

The pills are still larger than I’d hoped; however, the pleasant lemon scent makes it a lot easier for me to swallow them down. I take 2 pills daily after breakfast along with all other vitamins.

I order mine online (have it on repeat delivery), and I have not gotten a single bad batch. The box is always well-packaged, and the contents are sealed with the Lift ‘n’ Peel™ safety seal. I visited multiple grocery stores and vitamin shops to compare the prices, and usually Amazon has the most competitive price.
