My dogs and I LOVE Old Mother Hubbard biscuits. My dogs seem to prefer these over Milk Bones, and I personally love this P-Nutty variety because I can divide each biscuit in half with ease. And the economical price when purchased in bulk is a huge plus because I have 3 dogs.

Old Mother Hubbard is known for its dog biscuits, and the brand proudly advertises how it bakes biscuits from scratch. Hmm.. does anyone believe this? I certainly don’t think Old Mother Hubbard is baking dog biscuits like I’d do in my own kitchen; however, its biscuits are good enough as treats. I’ve tried the entire flavors from Old Mother Hubbard, and honestly, my dogs loved them all. Unless your dog is a super picky eater, I believe any flavor will be an enticing treat for your Fido.

Like Milk Bones, Old Mother Hubbard biscuits come in various sizes. I always prefer the smallest biscuit, regardless of my dogs’ weights because smaller treats mean lesser calories and more frequent treats. I used to buy the biscuits in small or mini, depending on the promotion Chewy or Petco were having. This time, I purchased Old Mother Hubbard’s “P-Nutty Oven Baked Dog Biscuits”, and this variety is actually my favorite kind because of the shape.
I bought the 20 lbs value box with assorted flavors. The assortment includes honey, apple, and banana flavors, and they have a pleasant aroma. I don’t care for stinky dog treats like salmon or venison (most commercialized soft treats that contain a ton of chemicals), unless they’re dehydrated meat chunks like jerky.

You get so many treats in this 20 lbs box! And what’s crazier is that it’s much, much cheaper to buy this 20 lbs box than a 16 or 32-oz bag.
Inside the box, the treats are bagged in a plastic bag. It’s always disappointing to find that these plastic bags are not sealed – Milk-Bone included.
I promptly poured the contents into an airtight pet food canister to keep any critters or dust away. With 3 dogs, I always buy treats in bulk because it gives me the most savings, so I have an additional pet food canister for storing treats. If, however, you do not have a separate container that holds 20 lbs of treats, no worries. Just tie the bag with a zip tie or produce a tie.

The main reason I really like the P-Nutty biscuits is the shape. They look just like peanuts! And they’re about the same size as whole peanuts. The shape of these biscuits makes it perfect for me to crush them into half, doubling the treats.

I do a lot of obedience training with my dogs, and these biscuits are highly motivating and enticing treats for them. And I can give out the treats more liberally when I break them into half. They are much easier to break than regular bone-shaped cookies.
My gals' are motivated and ready to do some tricks!
