Holiday get-togethers and a plush pile of throws are what get me through cold winter. I bought a faux fur throw a few years ago, and I’ve been coming back to Pottery Barn almost every year to get more. I’ve given the throw to friends and families, and they make such wonderful gifts.
I’m strongly against real animal fur products, and I was excited to find faux fur throws at Pottery Barn that are both cruelty-free and easy to care for. On top of the throw blankets, Pottery Barn has various faux fur items like Christmas stockings, placemats (which I honestly don’t get), dining chair cushions, bathrobes and slippers. These become available around September, and I know the holidays are approaching!
These throw blankets are extremely soft and lifelike. They come in multiple colors and types, and I always get the urge to buy them all!
The back of the throw is flat and smooth. And most importantly, the blanket is warm. It is heavy and supple. I feel like I’m getting a huge hug.
The blanket comes in multiple sizes. You can drape a smaller throw on a couch or a chair. The bigger throw is great for bedrooms.
Unlike real fur, caring for faux fur is much easier. You still cannot compress it in a clothes Ziploc bag to keep the fur looking plush and fluff; however, it is machine washable. You could also dry clean it if you want to prolong its life, but it is designed to withstand machine washes. Considering I pretty much live in this blanket, washing it in a machine saves me money and trips to a dry cleaner.
