My husband bought me the McKenna Jewelry Box for our anniversary, and my ever-growing jewelry collection is finally in order. I have a drawer full of jewelry that I’ve collected over the years. Because I was keeping the jewelry in the cardboard boxes that they came in, the boxes were piling up, filling in the drawer space.
The McKenna Jewelry Box from Pottery Barn has so many compartments to organize and store various accessories, and I’m over the moon about it. The McKenna comes in 2 sizes – Medium and Large. I’m glad my husband got me the medium because honestly, I’ve no idea how I’m going to fill up the large! Even the medium box is very spacious, and it features multiple slots for earrings, rings, and watches.
The construction of the McKenna is just beautiful and so functional. The box comes with a mirror, which is convenient and useful. I keep my box on the nightstand, so having a mirror comes in handy. The top tray is removable (top lift), revealing a blank storage space that accommodates bulky items like statement necklaces.
The jewelry box locks with a key that is included. I have no idea how I’m going to unlock it if I lost the key, so I usually leave the key in the keyhole.
Pottery Barn also offers monogramming at an extra charge. I wasn’t happy that the monogram will be placed on the lower right-hand corner of the inside mirror, so I didn’t get it.
The top tray has a separate travel box. Its compact size makes it ideal for traveling, and it features multiple faux suede inserts that keep the contents from moving around.
I now leave my jewelry box out on the nightstand, and it is so pretty. It looks like a very well-made decorative box.
