I’m a sucker for hand creams and have used the most popular hand creams out there, including L’Occitane, Aesop, Aveda, Caudalie, and the Body Shop. And the list continues. Lately, I’m reaching for Pré De Provence’s Shea Butter Hand Creams.

The cream contains 20% shea butter and is offered in 3 fragrances – Original, Verbena, and Lavender. Since most hand creams are scented in lavender, I purchased the Verbena scent to spruce things up. The weather’s getting warmer, and I need some citrusy scent!

The Verbena cream smells so refreshing and soothing.
I always lean toward herbal scents over floral/sweet/musky scents. You never get tired of natural herbal scents. The cream smells of light verbena that doesn’t feel overwhelming.

I prefer hand creams that contain shea butter – the more the merrier, because my hands are always dry. I don’t see the point of using lotions on my hands because they dry out almost immediately, and I feel tightness around my fingers due to excessive dryness. Shea butter is great for dry skin as it is known for its nourishing, soothing, and healing properties.

Although it is labeled as hand lotion, Pré De Provence suggests that it can be used all over on the face and body, including the nose, hair, lips, and feet. I apply it on my ankles and heels to keep them from flaking, and it works wonderfully. A must for sandal-wearing days.

The aluminum-tube packaging reminds me of L’Occitane hand creams.
It travels nicely in my makeup bag or a tote bag.
