Silpat baking mats are the BEST!
This nonstick baking mat by Silpat makes cooking and cleaning a breeze as it releases food effortlessly. Made of food-grade silicone and reinforced with a glass weave that promotes airflow and even heating, Silpat's Baking Mat can tackle all sorts of baking needs - from crispy cookies to roasted veggies, you name it.

As you can see, I bought mine from Sur La Table.
Regardless of the retailer, it is the same Silpat baking mat, and the size is universal. Mine's a half-sheet, and it fits inside my Williams-Sonoma's half-sheet pan.
I love the half-sheet size, and I believe most home cooks would agree that it is the most frequently used size. Unless you have a commercial oven, the full-sheet size gets rarely used, and anything smaller than a half-sheet is too small.
The dimensions of the mat are 11.6" (L) x 16.5" (W).

The mat is made of silicone, and its surface is finished with glass weaving, which makes Silpat mats so special. The surface has a glass-like sheen to it while being slightly sticky, and this unique texture and property make all the difference.

Silpat's half-sheet baking mat is designed to fit any standard half-sheet pan.

The mat is highly flexible - this is the case for all Silpat items.

But Silpat urges you not to fold the mat as it can damage the glass weaving.
Instead, you can simply roll it for storage.

I have baked so many cookies on this baking mat, but every time the cookies come out perfect. Depending on how long I bake them, the cookies turn out gooey or crispy, and I have had no problem lifting the cookies no matter how "done" they were.

I carefully scooped out chocolate chip cookie dough, and a half-sheet bakes 6 large cookies comfortably. I don't like crowing the sheet too much, so 6 is the magic number.

They are now ready to be baked!

Fresh out of the oven, these cookies are such a crowd-pleaser!

The baking mat ensures even heat flow, resulting in evenly-baked cookies.

The nonstick property of the mat makes scraping the cookies a breeze.
I use a flat spatula to lift out the cookies, and nothing sticks to the mat!

When you need to clean the mat, you can wipe it down using a wet cloth in between washes. You can either hand wash it using a mild detergent or wash it in a dishwasher.

The mat is freezer safe from -40 degrees Fahrenheit and oven safe up to 480 degrees Fahrenheit, so it can withstand the toughest cooking and baking job.

I can't attest to other Silpat-dupes that claim to do the same job for a fraction of the cost because I've never used them. What I can say, though, is that Silpat baking mats are everything it claims and keeps my baking days hassle-free and neat.
Perfect cookies every time!
