I love the concept of touchless soap dispensers because it keeps germs away from spreading via contact. I’ve tried many dispensers from OXO to Umbra; however, the Rechargeable Sensor Pump from Simplehuman is the clear winner.

Nothing is more annoying than getting the dispenser clogged. Soap frequently gets clogged when the dispenser hasn’t been used for days (think vacations) even with manual dispensers. Simplehuman incorporated the clog-proof tubing pump to ensure a consistent soap flow every time. It’s the little detail that makes a product stand out.

[Easily Recognizable On/Off]

The pump lights blue or red, indicating it's on or off.

The dispenser can be rinsed in sink, and water won’t damage it. It’s been great rinsing off pasta sauce or coffee stains.

[Variable dispensing depending on the hand position]

I’ve heard mixed opinions about this feature. Essentially, the sensor determines the amount of soap to dispense based on the hand’s distance from the spout. If you position your hand up close you get little soap, and farther away, you get more soap. It can be a downside because you’ll have to know about this feature in order to utilize it. It works out fine for my family because the dispenser is on my kitchen counter; however, if you plan to place it in a powder/guest bathroom, you’ll have to inform every single guest about this feature. For that reason, I suggest the Foam Dispenser (link) if you’re looking for a dispenser for guests.

Refiling soap is super easy too!

[Sleek design with a USB charger]

I hate battery operated soap dispensers because they always seem to run out too fast. The previous soap dispenser from another brand required batteries, and one time it ran out of battery. Coincidently, I ran out of spare batteries at home so I had to use a body wash. Tools like soap dispensers should make your life easier not the other way around. It’s no surprise that I got rid of that and replaced it with the Simplehuman Sensor Pump.

The USB charger is so much better, and each charge lasts up to 3 months. So it’s truly a wireless automatic sensor dispenser.

It is such a well-thought-out accessory that enhances the look of any kitchen or bathroom sink. All my guests think it is so cool! Besides the aesthetic factor, the refillable dispenser saves money and plastic, and it virtually eliminates cross contamination because dirty hands don’t get in contact with the dispenser (all bathrooms NEED this).
