My chinchillas love these alfalfa cubes.
They make great snacks as well as healthy supplements for their dietary needs. Once chinchillas and other small animals grow up, their diet should consist of mainly timothy hay due to its high fiber content. So I started giving out alfalfa cubes as treats, and they love these hay cubes from Small Pet Select.
Small Pet Select offers 3 hay cube types – Timothy, Alfalfa, and Alfalfa and Timothy Mix. The alfalfa was my chin’s favorite. It lasts a long time, compared to other treats intended for small animals as it is essentially a dense, compressed block of hay. These cubes are great for maintaining their dental health as well. The blocks’ hard texture helps grind my chinchillas’ teeth.
These cubes only contain alfalfa hay – no unknown ingredients or suspicious preservatives.
