Stasher Reusable Silicone Bags

I first learned about Stasher’s silicone bags several years ago, but I haven’t given them much thought until recently. Truth be told, the thought of washing Ziploc-alternatives seemed like a huge hassle to me. But I realized they are perfect as travel baggies for storing toiletries and intimates. I bought several Stasher bags in different sizes, and they turned out to be just the right travel companions. And now I can use these bags for food storage when I’m not traveling.

The Stasher bags and bowls are made of platinum silicone, which gives them ultra-pliable nature. You can bend them easily, which comes in handy when you’re squeezing them into tightly packed luggage.

I bought several "Stand Up Mini", “Stand Up Mid” and “Stand Up Mega” bags.

This silicone quarter bag is TSA-approved and keeps my liquids safe. It also keeps the bottles more secure than regular Ziploc bags because it has more structure to them.

The “Stand Up” bags have flat bottoms, so they can stand by themselves. They are suitable for storing larger and bulkier items.

Upon receiving them, I washed them in a dishwasher for an initial wash.

They washed very well - no warping or disfiguration; however, they needed to be airdried for a few hours in a dishrack, upside down.

Like so.

These bags are safe to cook, microwave, freeze, and be run in the dishwasher (both top and bottom rack safe).

There are so many pretty colors to choose from, but I chose the clear for all the bags (boring me, I know!).

Some people color-coordinate the bags with different contents (red for meat and green for veggies, for instance), but I wanted a uniform, monochromatic look in my fridge.

The Stand Up Mega bag holds so much!

It's currently holding the entire bag of frozen chicken nuggets.

The Stand Up Mid bags are holding frozen strawberries and dumplings.

And I put leftover mozzarella sticks in my Stand Up Mini.

My freezer looks very organized, and all the foods are visible and easily accessible.

I carried the Stand Up Mini with me when I was traveling this time, and it held so much! The bag was much, much more durable than regular Ziploc bags (no spillage, yes!).

The bag held all the toiletries I needed during a flight, and it still had some room left.

Added bonus? Its transparent body made everything visible and TSA-approved.

Verdict?

I'll be honest - I was a skeptic. I thought Stasher was another "environment-friendly" gimmick that was seriously overpriced. The Stasher bags are definitely on the pricier side; however, considering how versatile and durable they are, I think they're worth having.
