This is one of my favorite grill pans.
I'm a huge Staub lover and own at least a dozen Staub cast iron cookware, but this specialty grill pan is one that I reach for every time I'm grilling protein.

The official name of the product is the Rectangular Serving Dish with Wood Base, and as the name suggests, it is an impeccable serving dish.

The photos were from the day I bought the dish, so I have a lot of unboxing photos.
But I assure you, it's been used countless times.

The Serving Dish consists of 2 parts - a cast iron grill and a wooden base.
The cooking area is cast iron, so you can cook your meat directly on the gas stove, induction, or oven.
And the grill transforms into a serving dish, thanks to the wooden base.

Like all Staub cast iron, the grill does not require seasoning, and it is oven safe up to 500 Fahrenheit.

The grill is dishwasher safe, but the wooden base needs to be hand-washed.
I just wipe the base with a wet cloth, and it cleans very well.
The base doesn't get dirty, anyway.

Make sure to remove the sticker on the grill.
Fortunately, the sticker came off easily without any annoying residue.

The dish measures 13.1-inches x 9-inches x 1.6-inches(H).

The size is perfect for cooking 3-4 people.
The grill pan is also a good size on my stovetop.
The pan gets even heating throughout because of its size, so no scorching on one side and undercooked on another.

The matte black surface makes any dish pop.

And the food stays sizzling warm!

My favorite Korean dish - Bulgogi stays warm and delicious.
Yum!
