That’s where my Swiffer comes in. I swipe the floor with it to catch any visible dog hair every time I spot it – Rottie hair on light oak flooring is hard to miss!
I don't bother using the regular-sized Swiffer - the XL Swiffer with Heavy Duty Dry Sweeping Cloths is the bomb.
I love how these are super wide and large (1.5 times wider and larger than the regular Swiffer Sweepers, in fact!). I can quickly sweep my family room and kitchen in a few quick sweeps, which is a huge bonus to my already busy life.
There is a horizontal opening (just like Kleenex), so you won't have to take out the whole bag to open it.
Each cloth is pricier than the regular Sweeper cloth, and yes, it’s more difficult to find the XL clothes in retail stores, but I’d 1000% recommend them if you have pets. I just bulk order them online, and they last a long time.
Some say they’re disappointed with the XL Swiffer because the wider surface doesn’t distribute weight evenly, causing uneven cleaning when mopping with wet wipes. I agree with them on that point. I don’t use this for mopping, and I don’t recommend this for that, either. The uneven weight distribution is a real problem with the XL Swiffer wet wipes; however, dry sweeping doesn’t pose any problem since you “glide” the surface with it.
