The Laundress New York Collapsible Hamper

I’ve been using a wicker basket as the laundry hamper for many years. I loved the look of the basket as it didn’t look like a neglected hamper full of dirty laundry waiting to be washed even with some dirty clothes. The organic, natural aesthetic of the basket, however, proved to be quite cumbersome to carry around. Walking up and down the stairs with a basket full of clothes was never fun and turned out to be very tiring. 

Still, I invested in the basket so used it for years. Truth be told, I didn’t find any hampers that I liked! The new hamper needed to be lightweight so I can carry it around easily and preferably didn’t look like a dorm room hamper. As soon as I laid my eyes on the Collapsible Hamper from the Laundress, I knew it was the new and improved hamper for me.

Compared to the laundry basket I have, it is significantly lighter but actually holds more laundry. 

I’m now worried that I’ll procrastinate for too long to do a load, haha.

The hamper comes in 2 colors – White and Black. They both are fantastically clean and modern in any space. You can buy both colors and divide your laundry into whites and darks if you’re used to sorting laundry.

This collapsible hamper comes with 2 handles on the side. They are stitched securely and hold the weight evenly. Convenient handles are necessary for me because of the stairs.

It has a coated interior so I can put damp items as well. I wouldn’t put soaking wet garments like swimsuits, but damp towels are no problem.

The hamper is not only ideal for holding laundry but also for storing toys and clutter in style. Its modern design and color blend well with open spaces like living rooms or play rooms.

This lightweight hamper is gentle on my arms and is super stylish! I can finally kiss goodbye to my old laundry basket!
