Ever since I’ve started using the Fabric Conditioner from the Laundress New York, I don’t even look at my Downy anymore. The scent is heavenly good, and it lasts a long time, as well. The Laundress New York is a premium laundry detergent brand that offers various laundry detergents along with other household cleaning supplies. Its products are made with eco-friendly ingredients and are scented in its signature, sophisticated fragrances that smell nothing like detergents or cleaners!
Don’t be fooled by its small size – although the bottle says it’s good for up to 16 washes, I only need to use half of the recommended amount, doubling the number of washes I get out of a bottle (32 washes, give or take). I have a front-loading high-efficiency (he) washer, so using a large amount of detergent or softener is actually worse for the clothes and the machine. When I used the recommended amount, the tub was sudsy and needed an extra rinse cycle.
The fabric conditioner not only smells great but also “conditions” garments without damaging the fibers. I was always concerned with using fabric softeners since they can damage fibers and reduce the life of performance gear. I still don’t add the fabric conditioner when I’m washing gym clothes; however, I add it for everything else, including towels.
I don’t know why this isn’t offered in value sizes because I’d buy them right away.
When paired with the matching Signature laundry detergent, my laundry comes out clean and soft. This Fabric Conditioner has the magical ability to turn regular cotton t-shirts into the softest vintage tees (just the feel of them, not the looks, of course!).
