I’m in the process of slowly switching to all-natural household supplies that don’t contain harsh chemicals. I used to buy them in bulk, so it’s taking longer to transition. Among the brands I’ve tried, Seventh Generation™ makes the most gentle and effective products.
I reach for these 2 cleaners for daily cleaning, and they have earned a solid spot under the sink (aka the prime spot for my most frequently-used cleaners).
This multi-surface cleaner is safe for most surfaces including stainless steel, hardwood, tile, and quartz or granite countertops. I exclusively use this to clean and disinfect my kitchen, and none of my surfaces have been damaged by it.
The only downside for the cleaner is the scent.
Although it’s labeled lemongrass, it smells nothing like that. In fact, I don’t detect any citrus. I honestly can’t describe it, and I can see how some people might be put off by this. It doesn’t bother me much, but I do wish it either comes in a different scent or unscented.
It also doesn’t leave strike marks like some household cleaners, especially on my stainless steel appliances. When I want them sparkly shiny, I finish off with the stainless steel polish, but for daily maintenance, this has been working out perfectly.
It disinfects the surface and kills 99.99% of bacteria and viruses, and safe for use even on children’s toys.
Seventh Generation’s All-Purpose Natural Cleaner is another spectacular product that I enjoy using. Unlike the disinfectant, it is unscented, which is great. If you’re sensitive to fragrances, this is your cleaner.
I use this to clean almost everywhere except for the kitchen and bathroom where I disinfect. It cleans my living room coffee table or bedside tables beautifully without damaging the surfaces.
Like other Seventh Generation’s products, it is phthalate and paraben free, and it is made of bio- and plant-based ingredients. Seventh Generation is also against animal testing and animal cruelty, so you’ll feel good using it.
This is unscented.

The grip is stable and comfortable.
And the nozzle sprays products evenly in a fine mist. It doesn’t clump and drip down.
