Finding the right mascara for your lashes can be a daunting task. If you’re blessed with Barbie-doll lashes, lucky you. You probably won’t need occasional lash extensions and an army of mascaras. I loved the way my lashes looked after an extension; however, I couldn’t keep up with the constant upkeep and bi-weekly appointments. Some say they would rather get the extension done and forget about putting on mascara for 2 weeks. I, on the other hand, personally didn’t see any merit that outweighed the upkeep. I still need to put on makeup and do my brows, so putting on a few coats of mascara in the morning doesn’t feel like a chore. I guess everyone’s different on that note.

My Favorite Volumizing Mascara: Too Faced’s Better Than Sex Mascara
I know that it has a cult-like following, and it deserves all the hype and love!
It volumizes, thickens, and lengthens natural lashes without heavy clumping. Better Than Sex is amazing for fuller and fluffier lashes. Most volumizing mascaras clump, as opposed to lengthening mascaras, and Better Than Sex creates impressive volume with the just-the-right amount of clumping.
I wear contact lenses, so flakiness is definitely an issue for me. I parted with many volumizing mascaras that flaked. Once dried, Better Than Sex won’t budge!
It has a thick brush with wider tips on both ends. The brush does a great job of distributing the product evenly. There is a waterproof variety as well; however, I didn’t feel like the need for that unless I was planning on going to a pool. It stayed on perfectly on any working day.

The Doll Lashes Mascara is intended for wide-eyed effects, according to Lancôme. Enriched with nylon powders, this mascara helps you create fanned-out lashes, separated yet lifted.
Its unique triangular brush that gets narrower as it reaches the tip makes it great for precise application even in harder-to-reach areas. It elongates my lashes all the way to the end without clumping.
I use Doll Lashes as a base coat to lengthen my lashes and top it off with Better Than Sex to create a more dramatic look. It’s great for parties, drinks with friends, and date nights.
My Absolute Favorite Mascara: Lancôme’s HYPNÔSE DRAMA Instant Full Body Volume Mascara
This is the holy grail mascara that I need to restock every time I open the last box. This is my go-to mascara for almost all occasions, from laid-back Sunday brunch to work.
A few quick coats of the Drama Instant Full Body Volume Mascara lengthen my lashes and give a bit of volume.
It creates such a sophisticated look without looking like I tried too hard – do you know what I mean? It has the perfect balance of carefree casualness and poise.
I highly recommend this for any conservative occasions like meeting the in-laws or job interviews.
