Tony’s Chocolonely not only makes great-tasting chocolate bars but also supports fair trade and humane sourcing of the ingredients. I was introduced to Tony’s Chocolonely while I was shopping, and a brand representative had set up a booth to advertise Tony’s Chocolonely’s chocolates and its vision and fair practices.

Inside the wrapper, Tony’s Chocolonely shares its chocolate store.

According to Tony's Chocolonely,

I was ignorant when it comes to the sourcing of cocoa beans, and I was even more shocked to learn that slavery and child labor were prevalent. Tony’s Chocoloney is strongly against the exploitation of human labor and slavery, and it buys cocoa beans directly from the farmers. Tony’s Chocolonely’s humanitarian vision is well-represented in the brand’s slogan, “Crazy about chocolate, serious about people”.

I tasted the chocolate samples, and I loved the way they tasted. I was offered a few samples, and my favorite was the Milk Chocolate Hazelnut.

The flavor is extremely rich and smooth, and there are chunks of hazelnuts to give the bar the extra crunch. Tony’s Chocolonely bars are made in Belgium. I mean, it’s Belgium chocolate, so it obviously tastes like heaven!

I would love to help a company that’s against child labor, and I wanted to share the words.
