Anyone who has seen Fixer Upper must have fallen in love with Joanna Gaines’ down-to-earth and comfortable decorating style. She has completely changed the way I thought of farmhouse style, and I made a trip to Waco, TX to check out the Magnolia Market!

I could shop here every day.

Seriously.

Since I can’t come to Waco whenever I feel like updating a few things at home, I resorted to Target’s Hearth & Hand with Magnolia, a sub-Target brand that the Gaines advertise.

An empty vase with a few berry branches is all you need to set the table.

Lots and lots of white dinnerware. They seemed like good quality, but I passed on these because I didn’t like the color that much. I prefer creamy off-white with a beige undertone. These dishes had a cooler, blueish undertone.

What really caught my eye was this airtight canister. I’ve been on the lookout for a container to store bulk rice and this was a great size and price! I specifically looked for stoneware for a rice container because it keeps rice fresher longer than a plastic one.

This stoneware canister is HUGE and only costs $24.99. Containers this big would’ve cost close to $100 at other stores like Crate and Barrel or Pottery Barn. And this canister didn’t seem to be lacking in quality, either.

The lid is also made of the same material and features a silicone seal to keep the air and bugs out.

Joanna styles her clients’ homes by incorporating reclaimed pieces and vintage items she finds at thrift stores or antique shops. This analog food scale is the kind of accessory she’d place on a kitchen floating shelf!

And this scale actually works.

It comes with a removable stainless steel bowl so it can be washed easily whenever it gets soiled.

It includes operation instructions as well.

It’s a fun department that keeps my weekly Target run interesting. Definitely worth checking out.
