I’ve been searching for mixing bowls for some time now. I wanted bowls with lids because I intended to use them for baking and marinating meats. It was surprisingly difficult to find stainless steel mixing bowls with lids! I prefer stainless steel because it’s lightweight, durable, and better for mixing dough. I visited Williams Sonoma, Crate & Barrel, Sur La Table, and Bed Bath Beyond, without success. And I found these Stainless Mixing Bowls Set from Tovolo while I was shopping at Bloomingdale’s. I was not expecting to find mixing bowls, let alone exactly what I was looking for at Bloomingdale’s.
The Tovolo Stainless Mixing Bowls are comprised of 3 mixing bowls and 3 corresponding lids. The bowls measure 1.5 qt, 3 qt, and 5 qt for various cooking tasks, from washing fruits to mixing cookie dough.
And the best part is that they come with lids that are made of BPA-free plastic.
The lids skim over the rim for an air-tight seal, so the content stays fresher longer in the fridge.
And the lids are easy to open as they are flexible.
As soon as I saw them, I knew my search was over. And I left the store with my brand-new mixing bowls.
The bowls have markings on the side for easier measuring (in mL), which is another convenient feature many mixing bowls lacked. And Tovolo included thumb rings to keep the bowl from shifting and moving around while mixing.
