Villeroy & Boch had temporarily discontinued the entire Design Naif Christmas collection several years ago, and I was heartbroken that I didn’t get any back then.
Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who’d missed out, because select items from the Design Naif Christmas collection became available in 2018.
I’ve been dying to get my hands on the Christmas mugs, and I’m so glad I finally bought them.
I bought 2 of these gorgeous mugs, and we use them daily.
I own several Villeroy & Boch drinkware, including the iconic New Wave mugs, but I like the Design Naif mugs the most because the rims feel so smooth and soft.
The mug holds 10oz.
I couldn’t justify getting Design Naif dishes – both salad and dinner – because the pretty illustrations are only visible when they are displayed in a china cabinet. To me, the illustration looked messy with food.
But the illustrations on the mugs are visible because they’re printed outside. The mug has 2 paintings on each side, and my kids love these serene, peaceful Christmas illustrations.
Made in Germany from premium porcelain, these mugs are durable and easy to maintain.
The mugs will be enjoyed all winter long, not just in December, as they aren’t too festive or sparkly – no red Santa or reindeer.
