I’ve been giving my dog Greenies Grain-Free ever since I got her 6 years ago. She’s sensitive to grains, so her food and treats need to be offered in grain-free varieties. I bought Whimzees when the pet store was out of Greenies Grain-Free as an alternative, and I fully intended to go back to Greenies. However, my dog actually seems to prefer Whimzees to Greenies! So we will be switching to Whimzees.

I bought the Medium Value Box that contains 28 medium-sized dental treats. They are ideal for dogs that weigh 25-40 lbs.

I love Whimzees because these vegetarian treats are grain, gluten, and GMO-free.

The box is securely sealed to prevent any bugs or other contaminants.

Peel off the “OPEN” plastic tab to open the seal, and the lid comes off easily. The box is resealable, so no need to get a separate container to store the treats in the meantime like I had to do with Greenies. If my dog can smell the treats, she is going to beg and whine until she gets one, so sealing the treats and making them unnoticeable is important for me.

The Value Box contains 3 different types of dental treats – 9 Brushzees (2 colors, Orange and Green), 9 Alligators, and 10 Stixs. My absolute favorite is the Alligator because it lasts much longer than the other two. It takes longer for my dog to finish an Alligator treat – hopefully, it cleans my girl’s teeth and gum effectively.

Price wise, I’d say Whimzees and Greenies are comparable. They are both premium dental treats, meaning they cost more than other dental treats Costco or Sam’s Club sells. With Whimzees, you get a total of 28 treats for around $33. Greenies Grain-Free are pricier than regular Greenies, and you get 36 regular treats for about $38.

My dog has not exhibited any digestive issues or skin allergies that show up whenever she ate something that her digestive system doesn’t agree with. She jumps around whenever I open the Whimzee box. It’s been 2 weeks since I started giving Whimzees, and my dog’s breath smells odorless. Awesome dental treats.
