I must have a dish/kitchen towel addition because I literally hoard them. I have a drawer full of kitchen towels from various brands such as Crate and Barrel, Pottery Barn, West Elm, Williams Sonoma, and Sur La Table. I used to love Crate and Barrel’s whimsical towel designs; however, the materials aren’t as soft as other dish towels. Lately, the towels I reach daily are the ones from Williams Sonoma. They are thin but absorbent and soft.

My dish towels get various uses in the kitchen, and the Williams-Sonoma towels can handle them all. I use them to dry dishes and hands, hold hot pots and plates, and wipe out countertops. The towels are both pretty and functional in that sense.
I wanted to get some more, so I stopped by the local Williams-Sonoma. The towels come in many patterns and colors! They are not as design-oriented as the Crate and Barrel towels; however, they suit most kitchens well.

There are different towels with different thicknesses and weaves (for instance, regular dish towels vs. terry cotton). I find the terry towels to be the most absorbent, therefore are ideal for drying hands near the sink.

I got the Williams-Sonoma Logo Kitchen Towels in Jet Black. These towels are made in Turkey and are so chic! They come in a set of 4 towels, so you can always have an extra towel handy. In order to prevent cross-contamination, I like having extra towels.

These towels are 100% cotton and machine washable. I add a bleach alternative in the washer to sanitize them, and it does the trick. I wouldn’t put in bleach, though as the accent strips may get discolored.

Williams-Sonoma occasionally has some really good promotions, and you can get the price lowered than the $19.95 price tag.
